Step 1. Must have attained the age of at least 18 years or more

Step 2. Pass the moral character specifications

Step 6. Passing the salesperson licensing exam

Before you get a real estate license, you have to prove that you understand the basics of bypassing the licensing exam. Once your information is acknowledged by PSI you can register to take the exam at PSIexams.com. On the exam day, you will have your picture taken before starting the exam. It is a pass/fails exam that covers national and Michigan-specific real estate questions. If you pass the exam you will get a pocket license right then and there! Within two weeks of your exam, the formal wall license will be sent to your sponsoring broker’s office. 

If you pass but do not have a sponsoring broker you won’t receive a real estate agent license. However, your passing score will be recorded. As soon as you get a sponsoring broker and they acknowledge the Employing Broker Notification form your Michigan real estate license will be issued. If you do not pass on your first attempt it’s okay. It happens with a lot of people. You will be able to retake the test and can still get a real estate license to become a real estate agents in Michigan.
